Hi I'm Sophie,

I have loved photography forever and now I love photography more because I get to focus on it full time and capture your moments for you with plenty of laughs along the way.

I am a massive chatterbox, a terrible dancer with rubbish taste in music, a gin or tea drinker (depending on the time of day) and a lover of great food. Malton, North Yorkshire is where I spent most of my childhood and teenage years before moving to a small village on the outskirts of Retford which is on the Nottinghamshire-Lincolnshire border. I am a mum to Archie who has now grown so much I am the shortest member of the household and a wife to James who is also a giant and my biggest cheerleader on any dark days.

You can expect me to chat your ear off during meetings, have the weirdest sense of humour, be a bit obsessed with dark dramas and be completely passionate about delivering a fun and authentic set of images for you. I will eat your canapés, dance with your guests and have a real laugh with you during couples portraits. This might leave you wondering how on earth I took any pictures at all, that is just my style. I want you to feel relaxed and happy to be yourself.

Of course I'm not just a photographer, mum and wife! I love exploring places with my family especially getting the dogs out on the beach at Fraisthorpe in East Yorkshire or Robin Hoods bay in North Yorkshire, Travelling abroad (Stupid covid slowed that right down), meeting new people, drinking gin in the sunshine, laughing with friends, the theatre and great books. I could go on and on about how much I love books but that would make me sound like I like the classics.... I like my books quite a bit darker than Bronte or Zadie Smith, Bring me serial killers and thrillers everyday of the week.

Life is awesome, varied and full of surprises so my thoughts are-Nobody wants a forced smile on their wall but children full of character or bridesmaids wiping their tears away is something relatable and worth remembering.

Get in touch to see how we can work together.
